Book Talk Tuesday

This week we are linking up with Mrs. Jump's Class for Book Talk Tuesday.

I'm going to a party, but I don't think,
that I'm going to invite Hooper Humperdink....
I have recited this line since childhood.   Hooper Humperdink was one of my favourite books growing up.

Now as a teacher, I use it for various lesson.  To teach rhyming words...

the importance of being kind to others...

as well as the alphabet letters and sounds.

Now to let you in on a little secret.  This book is really hard to find.  So if you happen to come across it in your library, or are lucky enough to own a copy of it, treasure it.
Just for some fun, does anyone know which famous author wrote under the pen name of Theo LeSieg?

  1. Ah!! I love this book! There was a copy in the Kindergarten classroom when I started teaching K, but since it wasn't mine I had to leave it when I left that school. :( AND I know the fun! Theo LeSieg = Theodore Seuss Geisel = Dr. Seuss!! Have a great Wednesday!!
